Inter Miami assistant head coach Javier Morales has confirmed that Argentine striker Lionel Messi will take part in the team's last MLS regular season match against Charlotte away.
ESPN quotes Morales as saying:
He's going to travel. We will decide tomorrow how much time he will play. We're happy he's returned and is 100% and we'll see how he goes tomorrow in the game.
Recall that because of a muscle injury since September 3, the Argentine took part in only two Inter Miami matches, spending only 72 minutes on the field.
On the night of October 18, Messi played a full match for the first time in the last six weeks in the national team of Argentina against Peru in the World Cup 2026 qualification.
The Charlotte vs Inter Miami MLS match will be held on October 22 and will start at 1:00 GMT+3.
Recall, Messi moved to Inter Miami this summer as a free agent from PSG. He played 13 games in his new club, scoring 11 goals and making five assists. He also helped the club win the first trophy in history - the Leagues Cup.
Earlier, the MLS Players Association published information about the salaries of players in the league clubs. According to the source, the Argentine receives $12 million a year, and $20.4 million including bonuses.
Chilean defender Guillermo Soto called Messi an idol for Argentina in an exclusive interview with marvelgamingbet.com.
