Man United Confirm Erik ten Hag's Departure, Ruud van Nistelrooij Takes Over

Dutch manager Erik ten Hag has been relieved of his duties as head coach of Manchester United. The news of his dismissal was reported by famous insider Fabrizio Romano.

On October 28, Romano also confirmed that Manchester United's management had begun internal discussions regarding ten Hag's future, resulting in the decision to let go of the 54-year-old coach. Ruud van Nistelrooij, who played for the club from 2001 to 2006 and served as ten Hag's assistant, has been appointed as interim manager.

The former Ajax coach took the reins at Manchester United in 2022 and led the team to victory in the FA Cup during the 2023/2024 season, where they defeated Manchester City in the final.

After nine rounds of the English Premier League, Manchester United have gained 11 points and currently sit in 14th place in the standings.
