Man Utd Defender Maguire Says ten Hag Stripped of Captain's Armband

Manager of English Manchester United Erik ten Hag deprived the team's defender Harry Maguire of the captain's armband. The footballer himself reported about this on social networks.

Harry Maguire on Twitter
After discussions with the manager today he has informed me he is changing captain. He outlined his reasons to me and whilst I’m personally extremely disappointed, I will continue to give my all every time I wear the shirt. So I wanted to say a massive thank you to the Manchester United fans for all their brilliant support whilst I’ve been wearing the armband.

Maguire moved to MU from English club Leicester in 2019. A year later, the footballer was appointed captain of the team. He played 175 matches for the team, scoring 7 goals and making 5 assists. The 30-year-old defender's contract runs until the summer of 2025. The player has 57 matches and seven goals for the national team of England.
