Mbappe's Lawyer Claims the Player was Under Surveillance in Sweden

Kylian Mbappe's lawyer, Marie-Alix Canu-Bernard, has claimed that the football star has been under surveillance in Sweden, with the intention of damaging his reputation. Her statements were reported by RMC Sport.

The lawyer asserts that paparazzi and reporters from the newspaper that later accused Mbappe of rape were aware of his arrival in Stockholm and monitored his movements.

Canu-Bernard also pointed out that the complaint regarding the alleged rape was filed almost simultaneously with the publication of the article, raising questions about a possible connection between these events. She emphasized that the real-time publication of the article is a distinct factor that should be considered in this situation.

The newspaper Expressen has reported that Kylian Mbappe has been named as a suspect in a rape investigation, although he has only been classified as having the lowest level of suspicion under Swedish law.

Mbappe joined Real Madrid in July 2024. Since then, he has played 11 official matches, scoring seven goals and providing one assist.

Previously, journalist Romain Molina reported on social media that Mbappe is facing issues with alcohol.
