The logo of the cryptocurrency company XBTO will no longer be on the shirt of Argentine striker Lionel Messi and the other players of Inter Miami. This was reported by Cryptonica with reference to the CEO of the company Philippe Bekhazi.
The parties did not renew the contract after three years of partnership. Starting with the season-2024, the new sponsor of the team will be the Norwegian-American cruise company Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd.
XBTO had been a sponsor of Inter Miami since 2021. The cooperation with the team was an important tool for the cryptocurrency company to attract new customers to its platform. Messi wearing a jersey with the XBTO logo was expected to contribute to the company's drastic increase of popularity on the cryptocurrency arena, but XBTO's plans failed.
Messi moved to Inter Miami last summer. The eight-time Ballon d'Or winner scored 11 goals and made five assists in 14 matches played.
