Fans of Mexican Liga MX club Monterrey danced on the jersey of Lionel Messi, striker of the Herons and the Argentina national team, after their victory over Inter Miami in the CONCACAF Champions Cup.
The return leg of the tournament's quarterfinals took place in Guadalupe on April 11, with Monterrey defeating the Florida club 3-1. Messi, 36, made one assist for the only goal scored by the guests.
The first game also ended in favor of Monterrey - 2:1. Thus, after the two meetings, the White-and-Blues advanced to the semifinals of the tournament, where they will also play against the club of the American MLS, Columbus Crew.
