Head coach of Roma Jose Mourinho criticized the trends of modern football after the defeat from Lazio in the quarterfinal match of the Italian Cup.
The Eagles scored the only goal in the second half from the penalty spot. Mourinho was removed by the referee of the meeting at the end of the game.

Today we lost due to a penalty from modern football and VAR. The referee doesn’t give three meters of distance. Now it’s someone in front of a computer who decides to give an indication. The player falls with the slightest contact, and that’s it. The players from 20 years ago would never play like those today.
Earlier Mourinho called his sacking from Tottenham ridiculous. Jose also mentioned that he was not invited to become the head coach of the Brazilian national team.
