Pop Singer Robbie Williams Becomes President Of English Third Division Club Port Vale

Press service of Port Vale reported that popular singer Robbie Williams became the president of the club, which plays in the third division of England.

Recall, the artist is a native of Stoke-on-Trent, where the club is based.

Williams was quoted as saying by the club's press office:

My life is bizarre and wonderful and has taken many turns and twists and to find myself from the Railway Paddock to be 'El Presidente' is pretty special. Then Carol [Shanahan, co-owner and chair] and her family came in, revitalised, changed the place and I noticed this.
