Premier League Clubs Unhappy with Secrecy of Man City Investigation

According to The Telegraph, clubs in the English Premier League (EPL) have expressed dissatisfaction with the lack of transparency surrounding the investigation into 115 alleged rule violations by Manchester City.

The proceedings are being held behind closed doors in accordance with league regulations, and the details of the process are not being disclosed. Club representatives are convinced that an open hearing would provide greater transparency and build public trust.

Sports lawyers have also supported the idea of public hearings, arguing that it would ensure fairness and accountability for all parties involved.

Recall that the EPL has accused Manchester City of numerous financial rule violations alleged to have occurred from the 2009-10 season to the 2017-18 season.

The case includes over 100 instances in which the club is suspected of submitting incorrect information regarding income, expenses, and the salaries of coaches and players.
