
Online publication Football Espana has reported that three fans suffered stab wounds following a massive brawl between supporters of Italian club Lazio and Spanish club Real Sociedad.
The altercation between the Lazio and Real Sociedad tifosi took place in Rome on January 23, ahead of their match in the seventh round of the UEFA Europa League 2024/2025 group stage. It has been reported that over 80 Lazio fans attacked the visiting supporters.
As a result of the clash, three fans sustained non-life-threatening stab wounds. When the city police arrived at the scene, the assailants fled the area. The police are currently reviewing video footage from the incident.
The match between Lazio and Real Sociedad will take place on January 23 at the Stadio Olimpico in Rome, kicking off at 23:00 GMT+3. After six matches, Marco Baroni's team sits in first place in the Europa League group table with 16 points, while Imanol Alguacil's side follows in twelfth with 10 points.
