According to the online portal Transfermarkt, Chelsea Football Club has spent more on new players in the summer transfer window of 2024 than any other team in the English Premier League (EPL).
The "Blues," managed by Enzo Maresca, invested a total of €261 million on new signings, while also recording the highest income from player sales at €175 million.
Brighton & Hove Albion ranks second in the spending rankings, having invested €231.2 million, followed closely by Manchester United, which spent €214.5 million. In contrast, Liverpool and Manchester City were the least extravagant in the transfer market, spending €42 million and €25 million, respectively. Interestingly, Manchester City holds the best transfer balance at +€11 million.
After two rounds of the 2024/2025 EPL season, Chelsea has accumulated three points and sits in eighth place on the league table.
