The Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) has announced the start of an investigation into the actions of Spain's football players during their victory celebration for Euro 2024.
During the celebration, several players, including Manchester City midfielder Rodri and Milan newcomer Álvaro Morata, chanted "Gibraltar is Spain."
As a result of this incident, the Gibraltar Football Association lodged a complaint with the UEFA.
In the final match of the 2024 European Football Championship, Spain defeated England 2-1, securing their fourth title in the history of the continental tournament.
