I'll be listed at No. 3 if I play: Mitchell Marsh on Australia’s batting order

Mitchell Marsh believes that he will be a part of the top-order and bat at number three of Australia in the upcoming T20 World Cup. With David Warner and Aaron Finch as the probable openers, Australia has been searching for a number three for some years and Mitchell Marsh’s ability to play both spin and pace well can be taken into account in the dual-paced UAE wickets.

ICC Men’s T20 World Cup is inching closer and some squads such as Australia are yet to decide on the batting order. Australia’s second-string team recently lost five-nil to Bangladesh and with the big names missing, the picture of the batting order has not been clear. Marsh remained the only player in the Bangladesh series who could perform consistently with the bat. If Marsh bats at number three then Steve Smith can slide to the middle-order.

I dare say that if I play in this tournament, I'll be listed at No. 3. But I think the beauty of our squad is that from three to six or even seven, all of us can float. It will just be a matter of game situation and who we think is best to go in next. So, I think I'll be at the top, but it's about being adaptable and being able to float with the guys that we've got coming after me.
