Aspinall Gives Big Update on Fighting Jones

Interim UFC heavyweight champion, British fighter Tom Aspinall has expressed his confidence that his fight with the current champion of the division, American Jon Jones will eventually happen.

Tom Aspinall for Bloody Elbow
I’m very confident that it’s going to happen. Obviously, a lot of things I’ve got to keep under wraps. I’ve had conversations with the higher-ups in the UFC and they are also very confident it’s going to happen. I don’t know from Jon’s side, but I know from my side and the UFC’s side it’s very likely.

Aspinall last stepped into the octagon in July 2024 at UFC 304, defeating Curtis Blaydes by first-round knockout. He has 15 wins and three losses on his record.

Jones last fought in November 2024 at UFC 309, defeating Stipe Miocic by technical knockout in the third round. He has 28 wins and one loss to his name. One fight has been ruled a no contest.
