Bailed-out Velasquez asks court to allow him to compete in wrestling tournament

Former UFC heavyweight champion Cain Velasquez, who was previously released on bail, has filed a formal request with the court, asking for permission to appear at the Lucha Libra AAA wrestling tournament to be held on December 3 at Mullett Arena in Tempe, Arizona, USA.

As part of his bail, Velasquez can only leave the house if medical assistance is required; other travels require special permission from the court. The fighter said he would cover all police costs for escorting him to the tournament.

Velasquez was arrested in February on charges of attempted murder. The fighter opened fire on the suspect for molesting his young son. Cain was released from custody Nov. 9 after posting $1 million bail.
