Former UFC champion Eddie Alvarez will take on Chad Mendes on April 29th at BKFC 41. Also, another former UFC champion in the middleweight division, Luke Rockhold of the United States, will take on his fellow countryman Mike Perry.
Rockhold's last fight was against Brazilian Paulo Costa at UFC 278 in August. In this fight, Luke was defeated by unanimous decision. He announced his retirement from the UFC after the fight. For Rockhold, the upcoming fight will be his debut with Bare Knuckle FC.
Perry has fought twice in BKFC. In his last fight, which took place in August 2022 at BKFC 27, Mike won a majority decision over Michael Page.
For Alvarez, the upcoming fight will be his Bare Knuckle FC debut. His last fight was against South Korea's Rae Yoon Ok in April 2021 at the ONE Asian promotion's tournament. In that fight, Eddie was defeated by unanimous decision.
Mendes has already made one Bare Knuckle FC appearance in February 2022. He defeated fellow countryman Joshua Alvarez by TKO in the fourth round.
