Brazilian Fighter Severino, Who Bit His Opponent At UFC Tournament, Disqualified for Nine Months

The Nevada State Athletic Commission (NSAC) has decided to disqualify Brazilian fighter Igor da Silva Severino for nine months for biting his compatriot Andre Lima during a fight at UFC on ESPN 53.

Severino was also fined two thousand dollars. He will be able to hold the nearest fight on December 23, 2024.

Recall, in March 2024, Severino made his UFC debut with a fight against Lima. In the second round, he bit his opponent's arm, for which he was subsequently disqualified, and the victory was awarded to Andre. After the tournament, it was announced that Severino was fired from the promotion.
