Cormier reacts to Anthony Johnson's death

Former UFC two-division champion Daniel Cormier reacted to the death of mixed martial arts fighter Anthony "Rumble" Johnson at age 38.

Daniel Cormier
Rest in peace, my brother. For a guy who instilled fear in the hearts of so many people, Anthony Johnson was a caring man. Rumble will be missed. Sometimes life seems unfair. Terrible news.

Anthony Johnson died Nov. 13 from organ failure caused by non-Hodgkin's lymphoma and hemophagocytic lymphohistiocytosis.

Johnson had his last fight in May 2021 at Bellator 258, knocking out Jose Augusto Azevedo Barros in the second round. In April 2017, at UFC 210, he lost to Daniel Cormier by submission (rear-naked choke) in the second round.
