Costa refuses to sign with the UFC

Brazilian mixed martial arts middleweight fighter Paulo Costa said he received a new contract for six fights, but he refused to sign it.

Paulo Costa
I politely declined the contract. I was offered a six-fight contract, but I'm not interested in a long-term contract.

Costa's next fight will be against Australian Robert Whittaker at UFC 284, which is scheduled for February 12 in Perth.

Costa last competed last time against U.S. athlete Luke Rockhold at UFC 278 in August of this year. In that fight, Paulo won by unanimous decision. He has 14 wins and two losses in mixed martial arts under his belt.
