Covington: Donald Trump Would Destroy Me In A Fight

American UFC fighter Colby Covington, who is set to fight the league's welterweight champion Leon Edwards on December 17 at UFC 296, has spoken out about former U.S. President Donald Trump.

Covington told Mirror Fighting:

He is my good friend, it’s not like I was just meeting up with him every couple of months. I call him regularly to ask him about a game plan. He’s given me great coaching advice for this fight. Trump is the better fighter [than me], that guy has knuckles like lunchboxes. That guy is so big that he would destroy me if we fought.

Covington last fought against Jorge Masvidal in March 2022 at UFC 272. In that confrontation, Colby won by unanimous decision of the judges. He has 17 wins and three losses in mixed martial arts.
