American UFC fighter Colby Covington has posted an X-ray of his injury sustained in his fight against Leon Edwards. After the fight, Covington stated that he had sustained a fracture early in the fight.
Covington told Submission Radio:
It wasn't my night, but I broke my foot right away and couldn't plant or float off it to use the wrestling and pressure I planned to use. I didn't want to disclose this information until I had the x-rays back home, but here they are.
Covington and Edwards met in the octagon in December 2023 at UFC 296. This fight lasted the whole distance and ended in favor of Leon by unanimous decision. Thus, he defended the championship belt in the welterweight division. He has 22 wins and three losses on his account. Colby has 17 wins and four losses.
