Russian mixed martial arts fighter Usman Nurmagomedov has published a new post on his social media accounts in which he spoke out about his suspension for violating anti-doping rules.

A few months before my fight, I was undergoing treatment, but unfortunately I did not notify the athletic commission in advance. I would like to note that the California state athletic commission conducted its own full investigation, where I provided all the necessary documents, thanks to which the period of my disqualification was reduced to 6 months, instead of longer suspensions accepted in such cases.
Nurmagomedov's previous fight was against Benson Henderson in March 2023 at Bellator 292. In this confrontation Usman won by choke hold in the first round, but this fight was canceled. He has 18 wins and no losses on his record.
