Former UFC Champion Weidman Eyes Boxing Match Against Anderson Silva

Former UFC middleweight champion and American fighter Chris Weidman has responded to a question about a potential debut in the boxing ring.

Chris Weidman
I love the UFC but obviously there’s boxing matches out there, where [I can] make a lot of money and I wouldn’t mind ending my career with that. I love boxing, actually, and who wouldn’t want to see Anderson Silva versus Chris Weidman boxing match?

As a reminder, Weidman will fight Bruno Silva on the night of 31 March at UFC on ESPN 54.

The 39-year-old Weidman is currently riding a streak of two consecutive losses. In his last fight, which took place at UFC 292 in August 2023, he lost to Brad Tavares via unanimous decision. Weidman has 15 wins and seven losses on his record.
