Former UFC welterweight champion Tyron Woodley has expressed his intention to resume his professional mixed martial arts (MMA) career in the near future.

Tyron Woodley for Forbes
I’m working on a comeback, not that I ever left, but a lot of people thought I had retired from fighting. I'm preparing for a big MMA fight. I can't give out a lot on it but I'm working on something right now. I can't say anything yet.

In December 2021, Woodley faced famous YouTuber Jake Paul in a high-profile rematch, which ended in a sixth-round knockout in favor of Paul. Throughout his MMA career, Woodley has achieved 19 victories, suffered seven defeats, and recorded one draw.
