Former UFC Fighter Hunt Tells How He Was Offered To Forfeit A Fight For A Large Amount Of Money

Former UFC fighter New Zealander Mark Hunt has revealed that he was once offered more than three million dollars to lose a fight in the world's biggest league.

Mark Hunt said in an interview with YouTube channel The MMA Hour:

Mark Hunt
You know, I was offered three or four million dollars to take a dive in a fight here in Australia. I said 'Are you serious?!' I said 'No' because that's just not me... although I could have done with the money... That's just not my character, it's not me. I'd rather just go out with my shield and lose or die.

Hunt is now 49 years old. His last fight in the world's strongest league took place in December 2018. At UFC Fight Night 142, Mark lost by unanimous decision to Justin Willis.

In November 2022, he had a boxing bout against Sonny Bill Williams on November 5 at Aware Super Theater in Sydney. He won that bout by technical knockout in the fourth round and announced the end of his career immediately after the fight. In total, he has 13 wins, 14 losses and one draw in MMA.
