Former UFC fighter and now famous analyst Chael Sonnen has refused to plead guilty to charges of assault and battery of several people in Las Vegas in December 2021. According to reports, a court hearing in the case is scheduled for August 9.

Spouses Julie and Christopher Stellflug accuse Sonnen of assault in the hotel. According to them, Sonnen choked Christopher from behind and later attacked several security guards who tried to intervene in the scuffle.

Sonnen last fought against Lyoto Machida in June 2019 at Bellator 222. In that confrontation, Chael was defeated by a technical knockout in the second round.

Sonnen last fought in the UFC against Rashad Evans in November 2013. That fight ended in a first-round TKO loss to Chael. He has 31 wins, 17 losses and one draw under his belt.
