Former UFC fighter Swick tells how he fights lymphoma and leukemia

Former UFC fighter and AKA coach Mike Swick told his social media followers how he is currently battling lymphoma and leukemia.

Mike Swick on his social media
Right now I'm lying in my hospital room continuing my battle with stage 4 lymphoblastic lymphoma and leukemia. This fight has been going on for a year now. It's 1 hour, 2 minutes and 57 seconds left before my 8-hour session of chemotherapy finally ends today. I will triumph over cancer. I will make 2023 my best year ever.

Swick, 43, last stepped into the UFC Octagon in July 2015. Then he faced Alex Garcia, who was declared the winner of that fight after three rounds. It was Mike's second loss in a row. Before that, he was knocked out by Matt Brown at UFC on Fox 5 in December 2012. In total, Swick has 15 wins and seven losses under his belt. He currently owns and operates his own gym in Phuket, Thailand, known as AKA Thailand.
