No. 10 ranked UFC welterweight Irishman Ian Machado Garry intends to sue the promotion's middleweight champion, American Sean Strickland, for insulting his wife.
Strickland previously called Garry's wife a "succubus" who wrote a book on how to be a young promising fighter's wife and advised him to get a divorce.

As a reminder, Strickland will fight Dricus Du Plessis on January 21 at UFC 297 in Toronto, Canada.
Strickland last entered the octagon against Israel Adesanya in September 2023 at UFC 293. That fight went the full distance and ended in favor of Sean by unanimous decision of the judges. He has 28 wins and five losses on his record.
Du Plessis last fight was against Robert Whittaker in July 2023 at UFC 290. In this confrontation, Dricus won by technical knockout in the second round. He has 20 wins and two losses on his record.
