Jones Says He Refused To Headline UFC 300 Tournament

UFC heavyweight champion Jon Jones said he turned down an offer to headline the UFC 300 tournament, which takes place April 14 in Las Vegas, USA.

Jones told YouTube channel Submission Radio:

A couple of days ago I got a call from Hunter Campbell, and he said, 'John, I know there's only nine weeks left, but if there's even a chance, it would be amazing if you came back and headlined the greatest event of all time.' And while I'm honored, I don't think I'll be ready.

Jones last fought against Ciryl Gane in March 2023 at UFC 285. In that fight, Jon won by first-round submission and claimed the heavyweight division championship belt. He has 27 wins and one loss in mixed martial arts.
