McGregor Calls for Muhammad to be Stripped of UFC Welterweight Title

Former UFC double champion Conor McGregor has responded to current welterweight champion Belal Muhammad following Muhammad's announcement about withdrawing from his fight against Shavkat Rakhmonov due to a bone infection in his leg.

In reaction to Muhammad's situation, McGregor posted laughing emojis on social media. Muhammad later responded, saying that he still has marks on his arm from antibiotic injections, suggesting that McGregor has his own history of injections relating to substance use.

Conor McGregor

You lambasted ufc world champions multiple times on having to reschedule their bouts thru injury and now it has come down on you like a bomb from the sky, it is glorious to see! No fight. No money. But staph infection hahahaja LOL! BUM! Stripped! Instantly. Zero Knockdowns/any excitement or traffic or views or tickets sales in bout, and now also non reliable to show? Strip. Cut. Infected fighter. You have infections.

Belal Muhammad's last octagon appearance was in July 2024 at UFC 304, where he secured a unanimous decision victory over Leon Edwards. His record stands at 24 wins, three losses, and one no contest.
