McGregor Challenges Muhammad for Welterweight Title Fight

Former UFC double champion Conor McGregor has challenged current welterweight champion Belal Muhammad for a title bout.

 McGregor stated, as reported by Championships Rounds:

Belal McGregor UFC Welterweight World Title Fight... I do damage at 170, yea... this man [Belal] hasn't even got a knockdown in UFC history. Not one knockdown, it's embarrassing to be honest.

McGregor last fought Dustin Poirier in July 2021 at UFC 264, where he suffered a technical knockout due to a broken leg. He currently holds a record of 22 wins and 6 losses.

Muhammad last stepped into the octagon in July 2024 at UFC 304, where he won against Leon Edwards by unanimous decision. His professional record includes 24 wins, 3 losses, and one no contest.
