Former UFC double champion Irish fighter Conor McGregor spoke about negotiations with the promotion regarding a new contract.
UFC is my heart and my soul, I love the company dearly. I am in contract negotiation stages with them now, it's all going well. We have the height of respect for each other, McGregor Sports and Entertainment and the UFC have done incredible business.
McGregor will face American Michael Chandler at UFC 303 on June 30 in Las Vegas, USA.
McGregor, 35, last stepped into the octagon in July 2021 at UFC 264, losing to Dustin Poirier by TKO in the first round. He has 22 wins and six losses on his record.
Chandler, 38, last fought in November 2022 at UFC 281, losing to Dustin Poirier by third-round choking submission. He has 23 wins and eight losses on his record.
