Ngannou To Debut In PFL After Fight With Joshua

Ngannou To Debut In PFL After Fight With Joshua

PFL CEO Peter Murray has said that regardless of the outcome of his boxing fight with Anthony Joshua, Francis Ngannou will have his next MMA fight.

Peter Murray
Yeah, he’s got a big fight coming up now with AJ, so we’re really proud and happy for Francis, but he will be returning to the cage later this year after the Joshua fight. Francis is committed to the PFL. He’s committed to continuing competing in MMA, so we don’t expect that.

Recall, the Ngannou and Joshua fight will headline a night of boxing to be held on March 8 in Saudi Arabia.

Ngannou made his professional ring debut in October 2023. He had a bout against WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury. In that fight, Francis was defeated by a split decision of the judges.

Joshua last stepped into the ring against Otto Wallin in December 2023 in Saudi Arabia. That fight, which was stopped in the fifth round, ended in favor of Anthony by technical knockout. He has 27 wins (24 by knockout) and three defeats on his record.
