Ngannou: Usman has already written his legacy in sports history

Former UFC heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou reacted to Kamaru Usman's loss to welterweight champion Leon Edwards at UFC 286.

Francis Ngannou on his social media
My brother, you're a champion, with or without a piece of metal. Your legacy is already written in the history of the sport. We are forever with you.

On the night of March 19, Usman lost to Leon Edwards in the majority of judges' votes.

Usman and Edwards first met in December 2015 at UFC on Fox 17, and Usman won by unanimous decision. In August 2022, Edwards defeated Usman by fifth round knockout at UFC 278.
