Brazilian fighter Matheus Nicolau reacted on his social networks to the cancellation of his fight against Manel Kape at UFC Fight Night 234 in Las Vegas (USA).

He showed up for the weigh-in with 30 minutes left so there was no time for the UFC to ask him to cut more weight. He showed up, knowing that the fight would be automatically suspended by the athletic commission. Kape was irresponsible, reckless and disrespectful. He disrespected me, MMAand the UFC. But, above all, he disrespected you, UFC fan.
Kape last fought against Felipe dos Santos in September 2023 at UFC 293. In that confrontation, Manel won by unanimous decision of the judges. He has 19 wins and six losses on his record.
Nicolau, 29, last fought in April 2023 at UFC on ESPN 44, losing to Brandon Royval by first-round knockout. He has 21 wins and four losses under his belt. One fight ended in a draw.
