American UFC fighter Brian Ortega talked about the injury he suffered just before his fight against former interim UFC featherweight champion Yair Rodriguez.
Immediately after the fight Ortega said:
Right when they were introducing us, I jumped up and I rolled my ankle. I freaked out. Then I was like, 'No, no. God is good. God is going to protect me. And then in the first round, you feel like it but I was like, 'Nah God, I know you're here and you ain't leaving me.'
The fight between Ortega and Rodriguez took place on February 25 at the UFC Fight Night 237 in Mexico. In this fight, Brian secured a victory with a chokehold in the third round. He has 16 wins and three losses in mixed martial arts, while Rodriguez has 19 wins and five losses.
