On July 30 at the Saitama Super Arena in Saitama, Japan, a Bellator Lightweight Grand Prix quarterfinal fight between Brazilian fighters Patricky Freire and Roberto de Souza took place.
The fight ended with Freire winning by technical knockout in the third round.
Freire, 37, had his previous fight in November 2022 at Bellator 288, losing to Usman Nurmagomedov by unanimous decision of the judges. He has 25 wins and 11 losses under his belt.
Souza, 33, previously stepped into the ring in May 2023 at Rizin 42, defeating Spike Carlyle by unanimous decision. He has 15 wins and three losses on his record.
