Former UFC light heavyweight champion Jiří Procházka said he plans to return to the Octagon in six months after a shoulder injury.

I'll need six months. A lot of people say eight or nine months, but I know my body. I believe I can heal my shoulder in three to four months and start working at full strength.

Procházka had his last fight against Brazilian Glover Teixeira this past June at UFC 275. In that fight, Jiří choked out his opponent in the fifth round.

Procházka went into the Octagon in May 2021 against American Dominick Reyes at UFC on ESPN 23. That fight ended in favor of Jiri by knockout in the second round. He has 29 wins, three losses and one draw under his belt in mixed martial arts.
