The fight for the UFC light-heavyweight title between Czech Jiří Procházka and Brazilian Glover Teixeira was chosen as the best fight of the year 2022.
It was announced by the promotion's press service on social media.
The fight took place June 12 in Singapore in the main event of UFC 275. The fight ended with 28 seconds left in the fifth round. Procházka managed to capture his opponent with a choke hold. Thus, the Czech became the new UFC champion.
Teixeira, 42, has 33 wins and eight losses. Procházka, 29, has 29 wins and three losses. One of his fights ended in a draw.
