Till suffered a poke in the eye before his fight with Plessis

British UFC welterweight fighter Darren Till said he received a bad poke in the eye during training camp at Tiger Muay Thai.

Darren Till
I was wrestling and at one point the guy's middle finger hit me right in the eye. It only got worse as time went on, and I got worried. 'I can't turn down another fight,' I thought. But then it got better. It was a terrible poke in the eye.

Till will face South Africa's Dricus du Plessis at UFC 282, which is scheduled to take place the night of Dec. 11 in Las Vegas.

Till had his last fight against American Derek Brunson at UFC Fight Night 191 in September 2021. In that fight Darren was defeated by a choke in the third round. He has 18 wins, four losses and one draw under his belt in mixed martial arts.
