UFC Champion Edwards to Become Goalkeeper in Charity Match Against Former Football Stars

UFC welterweight champion, Brit Leon Edwards will make his professional football debut, reports Soccer Aid.

According to the source, Edwards will take part in a charity match for the celebrity team as a goalkeeper. They will be opposed by former football stars. All funds raised will go to UNICEF at the United Nations.

The match will take place June 11.

Edwards, 31, last faced Kamaru Usman at UFC 286 in March of this year. Leon won that fight by majority decision. He has 21 wins and three losses under his belt.
