UFC Champion Peña: I Want to See Nunes Back so We Can Settle the Score Once and for All

The new UFC women's bantamweight champion, American Julianna Peña, shared her plans after her victory over compatriot Raquel Pennington.

Julianna Peña's post-match interview
What I'd really like is for Amanda Nunes to quit ducking and come back inside this octagon. We're 1-1, that would be the greatest fight in Mixed Martial Arts history in the Bantamweight division. I do not believe that she's done. I want to see her back inside the Octagon so we can settle the score once and for all.

Peña defeated Pennington by split decision on October 6 at UFC 307 in Salt Lake City (USA).

Pennington last fought at UFC 297 in January 2024, defeating Maira Bueno Silva by unanimous decision. Her record stands at 16 wins and nine losses.

Peña previously stepped into the octagon in July 2022 at UFC 277, losing to Amanda Nunes by unanimous decision. She has 12 wins and five losses to her name.
