Ecuador's top UFC bantamweight fighter Marlon Vera has once again expressed his desire to have a fight against Russian former division champion Petr Yan.

I'm trying to get a fight with Yan, but he's crying about the judging. He should stop whining. The best way to make things right is to win. I was in the same situation, but instead of whining I asked for another fight and they gave me O'Malley and I knocked him out.
Yan, 29, had his last fight in October 2022 at UFC 280, losing to Sean O'Malley by split decision. In April of that year at UFC 273, Yan lost to Aldjamain Sterling by split decision. He has 16 wins and four losses under his belt.
Vera, 29, fought at UFC on ESPN 41 in August 2022, knocking out Dominick Cruz in the fourth round. He has 21 wins and seven losses under his belt.
