UFC president Dana White has shared the conditions under which a matchup between heavyweight champion Jon Jones and light heavyweight titleholder Alex Pereira could be organized.
White stated, as quotes by Bloody Elbow:
If he beats Tom Aspinall then yes, I would do the Alex Pereira fight.
Jones’ most recent fight was against Ciryl Gane in March 2023 at UFC 285. In that contest, which was stopped in the first round, Jon won by submission and captured the UFC heavyweight championship belt. His record boasts 27 wins and one loss.
