49ers Rookie Ricky Pearsall Released from Hospital Following Shooting Incident

San Francisco 49ers rookie wide receiver Ricky Pearsall was released from the hospital on Sunday after being shot in the chest during a robbery attempt in Union Square on Saturday. Pearsall, who was initially in serious condition, has since been upgraded to fair condition.

The entire San Francisco 49ers organization thanks the police and medical staff for their support during this time.

A 17-year-old suspect was apprehended following the incident, which resulted in both the suspect and Pearsall sustaining gunshot wounds during a struggle. San Francisco police chief William Scott confirmed that both individuals were shot accidentally during the altercation.

Pearsall was drafted 31st overall by the 49ers in April and is set to turn 24 next week. He faced challenges during training camp due to shoulder and hamstring injuries, missing the entire preseason.
