The International 11 is not shortlisted for 2022 Tournament of the Year category at TGA

The organizers of The Game Awards 2022 have revealed the names of six finalists in the Tournament of the Year 2022 category. The International 11 Dota 2 championship wasn't on the short list.

PGL Major Antwerp 2022 (CS:GO), 2022 World Championship (LoL), 2022 Mid-Season Invitational (LoL), VALORANT Champions 2022 (Valorant) and EVO 2022 (fighting games).

Tournament of the Year 2022 nominees:

  • PGL Major Antwerp 2022 (CS:GO);
  • 2022 World Championship (LoL);
  • 2022 Mid-Season Invitational (LoL);
  • VALORANT Champions 2022 (Valorant);
  • EVO 2022 (Street Fighter, Tekken, Mortal Kombat and other fighting games).

Despite this, Dota 2 is represented in the Cybersport Discipline of the Year 2022 category along with CS:GO, LoL, Valorant and Rocket League.

The nominees for the Cyber Sports Discipline of the Year 2022 award are:

  • Dota 2;
  • CS:GO;
  • League of Legends;
  • Valorant;
  • Rocket League.

The Game Awards 2022 will be held on December 8 in Los Angeles. You can vote for the favorites on the official TGA website. God of War Ragnarök and Elden Ring will fight for the title of "Game of the Year".

Recall that in 2021 the best cyber sports discipline was LoL, and the best tournament was the 2021 World Championship.
