Sniper of Team Vitality Mathieu "ZywOo" Herbaut received more MVP medals on the professional scene in 2023 than any other player. In under eight months, he has earned three titles.
"ZywOo" was the Most Valuable Player at IEM Rio 2023, BLAST.tv Paris Major 2023 and Gamers8 2023. In total, Herbaut has already been chosen MVP 16 times in his career.
Other players to have received MVP awards in 2023 only had one MVP award before: Nemanja "huNter-" Kovač (IEM Katowice 2023), Nikola "NiKo" Kovač (IEM Cologne 2023), Robin "ropz" Kool (ESL Pro League Season 17), Alvaro "SunPayus" Garcia (IEM Dallas 2023) and Jakob "jabbi" Nygaard (BLAST Premier Spring Final 2023).
On July 21, Team Vitality defeated ENCE 2-1 to become the champions of Gamers8 2023. "ZywOo's" team received $400,000 of prize money for first place.
The next big tournament at the professional CS:GO scene will be ESL Pro League Season 18, which will be held from August 30 to October 1 at LAN in Malta. 32 teams will fight for $850,000 in prize money.
Earlier, G2 Esports player Nikola "NiKo" Kovač finished the Gamers8 2023 championship with the highest individual rating.
