Daily Mail tennis columnist Mike Dickson died during the Australian Open in Melbourne at the age of 59. The cause of death has not been disclosed.
"Mr. Wimbledon" worked for 38 years in journalism, only ten days short of his 60th birthday.
The journalist's wife Lucy tweeted:
We are devastated to announce that our wonderful husband and Dad, Mike, has collapsed and died while in Melbourne for the Aus Open.
The last leg of Dickson's career was an interview with British tennis player Emma Raducanu on Tuesday, January 16.
