Women's Cricket: West Indies prevails in low-scorer versus Pakistan

West Indies won against Pakistan by 37 runs in a low-scoring game. Windies scored 153 batting first, a score that looked quite low but then Pakistan folded for a mere 116 runs. Now West Indies has taken a two-nil lead in the series and even if they lose the next game, they will emerge as series victors.

Deandra plays well again, Pakistan spinners impress

Deandra Dottin played a more than decent hand, scoring 34 runs before getting run out because of Javeria Khan’s superb bit of fielding. Stefanie Taylor made 23 runs, Hayley Matthews tallied 26 runs while Shermaine Campbell made a much-needed unbeaten 23 runs. Kycia Knight got retired hurt when she was doing well at 19 runs off 21 balls. For Pakistan, Anam Amin, Omaima Sohail, and Fatima Sana each took two wickets while Sadia Iqbal and Nashra Sandhu took a wicket each.

Pakistan implodes completely after Javeria’s run out

After losing two early, Omaima Sohail and Javeria Khan were doing a decent repairing job for Pakistan. Javeria was able to hit some handy boundaries before she got run out after scoring 24 runs while Omaima Sohail also made 27 runs but Shamilia Connell claimed her wicket. However, it was Hayley Matthews who did most of the damage, claiming four wickets. Connell took three while Shakera Selman and Anisa Mohammad took one each.
