Martin “Wolfie” Adams – Three Time BDO World Champion

Martin "Wolfie" Adams is a three-time BDO World Champion and one of the most successful players in English history. From 1993 to 2013, he was captain for Cambridgeshire County Council & England's national team before turning professional full time with his signature facial hair that we know today! He earned 25 straight appearances at the world championship level beginning in 1994.

The greatest of all time, Adams has won numerous BDO Open events and twice captured the WDF World Cup singles title. He was never able to make it happen on a larger scale, though, as he consistently came up short in big tournaments- until 1999! His 5–4 defeat against Chris Mason stands out as one of those where you felt everything would be okay because they were both playing their hearts out but still couldn't pull off an extraordinary win.

Robert “Bob” Thornton – The World Seniors Champion

The World Seniors champion from Scotland, Robert 'Bob' Thornton, has three BDO and PDC major titles. He was also a finalist in the 2009 Players Championship Finals as well as the 2013 Grand Slam of Darts competition! The gentleman donned Premier League attire for many years before playing his last match against Joe Cullen.

Robert Thornton's story is one of hard work and resilience. After losing in the final match five times, he finally won a major title at World Masters with an amazing comeback victory over Darryl Fitton- who had also defeated him 7-5 earlier that year!
